Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in the morning, your Genes Adventures private guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel or lodge in Arusha. Relax, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you prepare for your adventure.

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You may choose to relax at the lodge, unwind by the pool, and soak in the serene African atmosphere while enjoying excellent service and refreshing drinks. If you feel like exploring, Arusha offers a variety of engaging activities. Discover the city on a guided tour, cycle through its scenic outskirts, or browse vibrant Maasai markets to find your first Tanzanian souvenirs.

Arusha National Park

Today you set out for your first real game drive in Arusha National Park. Just a short distance from the city, this lush reserve is known for its vibrant tropical birdlife, graceful black-and-white colobus monkeys, and the occasional rare albino baboon. As you explore, keep an eye out for the striking Silvery-cheeked Hornbill and other unique species that call the park home. The landscape itself is wonderfully diverse, with tranquil lakes, volcanic craters, cascading waterfalls, forested slopes, and open grassy plains creating a beautiful backdrop for wildlife viewing.

Day 4

Tarangire National Park

Depart early for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, where you may spot elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests. The park’s swamps attract hundreds of bird species, making it a paradise for bird lovers. Enjoy sundowners at your lodge outside the park, followed by dinner at the lodge, and listen to the sounds of the African wilderness as you prepare for an overnight stay under the stars.

You're conveniently close to Lake Manyara National Park, and high on a hill with fantastic lake views when you stay at Isoitok Camp Manyara. Day 5 & 6

Serengeti National Park

After a very early breakfast, enjoy the beautiful sunrise as you depart for Serengeti National Park. Spend two full days exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains, home to the Big Five and an incredible diversity of wildlife. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras travel in search of greener pastures. In October and November, the migratory herds begin moving toward the Southern Serengeti Ecosystem (Ndutu), though their exact route is guided by the rains. To maximize your chances of unforgettable sightings, your accommodation is set in Central Serengeti, offering the flexibility to track the wildlife as it moves. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards are often seen here, alongside elephants, buffalo, and countless other species. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your adventure, returning to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a peaceful night in the wild.

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater

You’ll leave Serengeti National Park behind early in the morning with a packed breakfast and lunch, ensuring you arrive at Ngorongoro in time to make the most of this extraordinary destination. You’ll learn why magical Ngorongoro is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Cloud forests encircle the crater rim, and the view out across the caldera of this former volcano – quite apart from the altitude – will leave you gasping for air. Your drive down a steep trail carries you onto the crater floor where a unique wildlife offering is added to the sheer beauty of the experience. You’ll share the sunken ecosystem of the crater floor with hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos and hippos—an ecosystem that has formed in the millennia since the volcano wrought its terrible fury upon the land. It could just be one of your best safari days ever.

Day 8 to 12

Zanzibar Island

Unfortunately, your adventure has come to an end. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the nearby Seronera Airstrip. Bid farewell to your guide as you board your domestic flight to Zanzibar.

Upon arrival, a representative from Paradise Beach Resort will pick you up and transfer you to the resort, where your stay is based on full board. Activities are not included, but a wide range of excursions can be booked at the resort’s reception, such as a Spice Tour, Stone Town city tour, snorkeling trips, a local fishermen village tour, or simply relaxing and enjoying the beach.
