Activity Day 1

Kick off your safari with a drive to Tarangire National Park, home to Tanzania’s largest elephant population. Discover a landscape dotted with ancient baobab trees, where herds of elephants roam freely and predators lurk in the tall grass. Your first game drive offers sightings of giraffes, lions, and countless antelope species. Enjoy a picnic lunch with panoramic views of the Tarangire River—a vital lifeline during the dry season. At the end of the day, leave the park and drive to Karatu for your overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, drive out to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, often called the “Garden of Eden” and the “eighth Wonder of the World,” has Africa’s highest density of wildlife. Spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, lions, and Cape buffalo, all in a breathtaking setting. While it’s a popular destination, the experience is truly unforgettable. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch before heading back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai boma for an authentic cultural encounter—discover their ancient customs, colorful attire, and proud warrior traditions. Afterwards, return to Arusha for a relaxing evening.
