Depart early for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, where you may spot elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests. The park’s swamps attract hundreds of bird species, making it a paradise for bird lovers. Enjoy sundowners at your lodge inside the park, followed by dinner at the lodge, and listen to the sounds of the African wilderness as you prepare for an overnight stay under the stars.

Morning Game Drive – Visit Maasai Tribe & Mto wa Mbu – Karatu
Begin your day with an early morning game drive, increasing your chances of spotting predators on the hunt. By noon, depart Tarangire and head towards Karatu. En route, visit a Maasai village to witness traditional dance, learn about their nomadic lifestyle, and interact with the warriors. Continue to Mto wa Mbu, a multicultural town where you’ll taste banana beer and explore the vibrant local market. Arrive in Karatu by sunset for dinner and overnight at a charming lodge.

A visit to the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu offers a wonderful glimpse into Tanzania’s rich cultural diversity. The experience is topped off with a banana beer tasting — a unique local tradition that gives you a true flavour of village life. It’s an engaging and memorable cultural addition to your safari.

Hadzabe and Datoga People – Lake Eyasi Day Trip
Set out early with a packed lunch for a full-day cultural experience at Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga people. The Hadzabe, among the last hunter-gatherers in Africa, will take you on a hunting expedition, demonstrating their ancient survival techniques. The Datoga, known for their blacksmithing skills, will show you how they craft tools and jewelry. After an insightful day, return to Karatu for dinner and an evening at leisure, reflecting on the unique tribal encounters.

Ngorongoro Crater – Transfer to Serengeti
Leave Karatu early for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater for a six-hour game drive, where you may spot rhinos, lions, hippos, elephants, and an array of birdlife. After lunch, continue your journey to Serengeti National Park, arriving in the Central Serengeti by evening. Check into your lodge and enjoy dinner while listening to the distant calls of nocturnal wildlife.

Full Days of Game Drives in Serengeti
Spend two full days exploring Serengeti’s vast plains, home to the Big Five and an incredible variety of wildlife. You may witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras move in search of greener pastures. In October and November, migratory animals begin their journey toward the Southern Serengeti Ecosystem – Ndutu, though their movement depends on the weather. To maximize sightings, we’ve included accommodation in Central Serengeti, allowing flexibility to search for them. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards are commonly spotted, along with elephants and buffalo. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your adventure. Return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night in the wild.
