Activity Day 1

After an early breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The journey takes approximately 7 hours and is long but incredibly scenic, and your first view of the vast plains is truly unforgettable. Covering over 18,000 km², the Serengeti lives up to its name — “endless plains” — with landscapes that stretch beyond the horizon. This is the heart of the Great Migration, home to millions of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, and a high concentration of big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

We will pick you up from your hotel/lodge in Arusha. Accommodation in Arusha is not included but we can arrange it for you at additional costs.

You'll feel like a part of nature during your stay at Thorn Tree Camp in the central Serengeti. Little more than the canvas of your safari tent separates you from some of the biggest concentrations of wildlife on the planet. Wildlife roams the plains, often really close to camp, but you'll be safe as you watch it all from the security of your tent or the dining area, and listen to the calls of Africa's famous wildlife.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park to Karatu

Activity Day 2

Enjoy a final morning in the Serengeti with a last chance to spot wildlife you haven’t yet seen. Then begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Travel across changing landscapes—from endless plains to highland forests—until you reach your lodge near the crater rim or Karatu, offering incredible sunset views.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour - back to Arusha

Activity Day 3

It’s the final day of your Haraka Haraka Experience. After an early breakfast, we drive from Karatu to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, then descend the steep slopes into this breathtaking natural amphitheater, often called the “Garden of Eden.” The crater is teeming with wildlife, and if we’re lucky, we might even spot the endangered black rhino, a rare member of the Big 5. After a spectacular morning game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch by Hippo Lake, followed by a short final game drive. After the maximum 6-hour stay allowed on the crater floor, we ascend and begin the journey back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at your hotel. Accommodation in Arusha is not included but can be arranged at additional costs.
